Illuminate Your Outdoor Spaces with Elegance

We’d considered adding outdoor lighting to our home for some time. We’d seen individual homes in the neighborhood where ‘uplights’ had been added on bushes and trees. It was nice, but not something that excited us. I’d reached an age where I’m reluctant to tackle projects that required substantial effort if they’re to be done correctly. And, I knew the dirt in our yard was like concrete. Burying the wire was going to take substantial effort. Last month, we found a circular for ‘Homebeam Outdoor Lighting’, owned & operated by Ethan Westerholm, on our door. With nothing to lose, we made an appointment. Ethan’s first question was, “What do you have in mind?”. In truth, we had no idea. We wanted to highlight the house and maybe put lighting on our entrance path. Ethan recommended against lighting the path, as pathway lights tend to ‘lean’ overtime and require a certain amount of maintenance. He took photos of the house and said he’d be in touch. The next day, he sent us a video of the house showing an array that highlighted the its entire front with uplighting on the trees either side. We were impressed! Minor adjustments were discussed and the scope was expanded to include sections of our backyard. Ethan then educated us on the pros & cons of the types of light fixtures available. We made our selections and later received (and accepted!) a quote for the work. His team, Justin & Olivia, arrived a few weeks later to do the installation. They were meticulous in their approach, taking great care to route the wire along unobtrusive paths. Once buried, you would need to know where the wire was to find the track where it was laid! They spent hours laying out, adjusting and evaluating their work. After dark, Ethan came back to adjust each light so that it was aimed perfectly. The installation ended up taking parts of three days. Base work was done the first day, the second was initial aiming & adjustment. That night, Ethan was here until 10PM fine tuning the aim. Olivia & Justin finished the install on the third day – with Justin coming back that evening @ 6:30 and staying until well after 9:30PM (The thing about lighting is that it has to be finalized after dark). Justin couldn’t have been more friendly, hardworking or accommodating! Olivia took it upon herself to upright and position two ‘prehistoric’ bird sculptures we had on the patio and wind up a garden hose we had left out. All over and above anything we expected. We ‘toured’ the property that evening and were amazed! Everything that Homebeam Outdoor Lighting had done far exceeded our expectations! We liked our home before, but we’re truly proud of it now! We feel it’s been ‘set off’ from other homes in the neighborhood. Ethan came back for a final check and reviewed the operation of the 12VAC transformer with us. We couldn’t be more pleased! This installation was worth every penny and they were a joy to work with!! Now we sit here, in our home, waiting for dark. . .

I had for two years anticipating upgrading our outdoor lighting. After seeing HomeBean complete a project in my neighborhood, I decided to pull the trigger and contacted Ethan. I am extremely happy with our lighting system it has brought the much-needed warmth and pleasure to our home. Ethan was extremely excellent to work with. A job well done.
