Working with Ethan, the owner of HomeBeam Lighting, has been an absolute joy! What impressed me most about Ethan is how creative he is and how naturally he thinks outside the box. He is also one of the hardest-working people I’ve met. You can immediately tell how passionate he is about what he does, and that passion absolutely translates into the finished product. When Ethan first walked me through his vision for our property, I thought I understood what he was describing. He showed me examples and demonstrations and explained what the lighting would eventually accomplish. But seeing the finished result in person is something completely different. It exceeded what I had imagined. Beyond his talent, Ethan is just incredibly easy to work with. He’s genuine. He listens. He takes the time to understand what you’re trying to accomplish rather than simply selling you a lighting package. Our conversations always felt collaborative, and I felt like he cared about the property and the end result as much as I did. The truth is, the full project was beyond what I originally thought I could afford. But after seeing Ethan’s ideas and understanding what he could do with the property, I pushed myself to find a way to make the investment work. Now that I’ve seen the property at night, I’m so glad I did. Ethan didn’t simply light the house. He brought it to life. There is a gentleness and softness to the lighting that is difficult to describe until you experience it. It’s dramatic without being harsh, warm without being overly bright, and it completely changes the feeling of the property after sunset. It feels intentional, sophisticated, and almost magical. For an investment property that we hope guests will enjoy for years to come, it was absolutely worth investing in and worth waiting for. Ethan is building something very special with HomeBeam. If this is the level of care, creativity, and craftsmanship he brings to every project, I have no doubt his company is going to go very far. We contracted with Ethan, of HomeBeam Outdoor Lighting, to install decorative accent lighting on our home in time for our country's 250th birthday celebration. In our initial meeting, he went over all of the options that were available, and explained them thoroughly to us. He, and his crew, arrived on the day scheduled for the installation. The install went smoothly over 2 days, and the workers were respectful of the property. The results of the light display were very pleasing to us. The display can be as simple or as complex as you desire, with numerous preprogrammed options available to choose from. Additionally, Ethan offered to return after his work day to sit with us and give further instruction until we were comfortable with operating the system. We’d considered adding outdoor lighting to our home for some time. We’d seen individual homes in the neighborhood where ‘uplights’ had been added on bushes and trees. It was nice, but not something that excited us. I’d reached an age where I’m reluctant to tackle projects that required substantial effort if they’re to be done correctly. And, I knew the dirt in our yard was like concrete. Burying the wire was going to take substantial effort. Last month, we found a circular for ‘Homebeam Outdoor Lighting’, owned & operated by Ethan Westerholm, on our door. With nothing to lose, we made an appointment. Ethan’s first question was, “What do you have in mind?”. In truth, we had no idea. We wanted to highlight the house and maybe put lighting on our entrance path. Ethan recommended against lighting the path, as pathway lights tend to ‘lean’ overtime and require a certain amount of maintenance. He took photos of the house and said he’d be in touch. The next day, he sent us a video of the house showing an array that highlighted the its entire front with uplighting on the trees either side. We were impressed! Minor adjustments were discussed and the scope was expanded to include sections of our backyard. Ethan then educated us on the pros & cons of the types of light fixtures available. We made our selections and later received (and accepted!) a quote for the work. His team, Justin & Olivia, arrived a few weeks later to do the installation. They were meticulous in their approach, taking great care to route the wire along unobtrusive paths. Once buried, you would need to know where the wire was to find the track where it was laid! They spent hours laying out, adjusting and evaluating their work. After dark, Ethan came back to adjust each light so that it was aimed perfectly. The installation ended up taking parts of three days. Base work was done the first day, the second was initial aiming & adjustment. That night, Ethan was here until 10PM fine tuning the aim. Olivia & Justin finished the install on the third day – with Justin coming back that evening @ 6:30 and staying until well after 9:30PM (The thing about lighting is that it has to be finalized after dark). Justin couldn’t have been more friendly, hardworking or accommodating! Olivia took it upon herself to upright and position two ‘prehistoric’ bird sculptures we had on the patio and wind up a garden hose we had left out. All over and above anything we expected. We ‘toured’ the property that evening and were amazed! Everything that Homebeam Outdoor Lighting had done far exceeded our expectations! We liked our home before, but we’re truly proud of it now! We feel it’s been ‘set off’ from other homes in the neighborhood. Ethan came back for a final check and reviewed the operation of the 12VAC transformer with us. We couldn’t be more pleased! This installation was worth every penny and they were a joy to work with!! Now we sit here, in our home, waiting for dark. . .

I had a few outdoor lights that were originally installed by another company, and unfortunately the installation wasn't done correctly. Ethan from HomeBeam Lighting came out, assessed the situation, quickly identified the issues, and repaired everything the right way. He was incredibly professional, thorough, and timely throughout the entire process. We had a lighting system that was over 20 years old. Ethan and his team came out repaired all of the lights, and installed new ones. Wonderful experience and we definitely hire them again.

I highly recommend HomeBeam Outdoor Lighting. I had an issue with my outdoor pool lighting. I received a text 15 minutes after submitting a request for service, and they sent a technician, Justin, the following afternoon after hours. Justin troubleshot the system and had it fixed within an hour, and he left the system better than he found it (buried the wires under the stone). Service and communication were first-rate.
