Nestled in the quiet elegance of Saucon Valley, this stately home underwent a stunning, timeless transformation. What was once a dark façade after sunset is now a glowing example of how expertly designed outdoor lighting can elevate both the look and functionality of a home.
The design intent for this project was clear: create a warm, inviting atmosphere while subtly highlighting the property's architecture and landscaping. Using a combination of uplighting, architectural lighting, and strategically placed downlights, we brought depth and drama to the home’s exterior—without overpowering the serene natural setting.
Instead of relying on harsh spotlights or generic flood lighting, the team used soft, low-voltage LED fixtures that blend seamlessly into the landscape during the day. At night, they paint with light—revealing texture in the stonework, shape in the trees, and creating beautiful, dappled shadows on the driveway. These artistic touches not only add curb appeal but also serve practical functions, improving safety and visibility throughout the property.
A key feature of this installation is the tree canopy lighting. Mature hardwoods now glow from below, their branches casting patterned shadows that dance gently across the lawn and driveway. Each tree received its own lighting recipe based on its size, shape, and density, ensuring no two lighting effects feel exactly the same.
Even the American flag didn’t go unnoticed—carefully lit to stand proudly at night in keeping with proper flag etiquette. Around the porch and entryway, accent lights softly guide the eye to architectural details, while maintaining a cozy ambiance ideal for evening gatherings or late-night returns home.
While this project took place in Saucon Valley, we regularly design and install custom outdoor lighting systems throughout the Lehigh Valley, Bucks County, and surrounding regions. Every installation is approached as a work of art—balancing beauty, function, and longevity in a way that complements each home’s unique character.
It’s not just about lighting a space—it’s about transforming how that space feels, functions, and is experienced after dark.
